Next Meeting - July 20.

The first meeting was a great success! Thanks to everyone who came - from far and wide.

Time to schedule the next meeting:
When: Thursday, July 20, 2017. 6 to 8 pm
Where: Silver Peak Systems, 2860 De La Cruz Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050
Purpose: Support local MadCap users, mostly Flare, but also other apps. 
Who: Beginners to Advanced - anyone interested in Flare.
What: Learn about Flare, share experiences, networking
Cost: Nothing

Laptops are encouraged. Internet access is provided. 

Brings snacks and food, if so inclined. Tea, soda, coffee, water is provided.


Agenda:
  1. Discuss creating a list or database of Flare companies.
  2. Bring one cool thing to share about Flare, if you have one.
  3. Bring one Flare issue you would like to discuss, if you have one.
  4. Calvin is going to discuss his experiences promoting Flare HTML vs. single-source (such as, GitHub) document delivery.
  5. Kate to show how she uses Flare, including Workspaces, File Lists, File Tagging, and Conditions. This is just to give you some ideas and to see how other people use Flare.
  6. Kate to demo how and when to use Build Actions to automate your builds.

    If you have a specific feature you would like to see, let me know or add it to the Comments.

First Meeting!

Thanks to all who attended our first meeting!

  1. Meetings on 3rd Thursday of the Month at 6:00. Kate to arrange webex access for remote attendance.
  2. Nadya asked about translation. Flare does well using Lingo.
  3. Susan had a question about how Flare is notified of updates.
  4. Nadya to send link to article about Flare using Jira.
  5.  Calvin had a question about connecting Flare to BitBucket using Git - if anyone has any ideas, let us know.
